Textbook

Here is the deal on the textbook mixup.

Frederic S. Mishkin has two books.

1. The Economics of Money, Banking, and Financial Institutions, 6th edition, green and brown. mishkin1.png

2. Financial Markets and Institutions, 4th edition, yellow. mishkin2.png

I intended to order 1. The bookstore has 2 for me and Byrnes and a small number of 1 for Froyen.

Some of the passages are identical. 1 includes some macro material not in 2. 2 includes some details about markets and institutions not in 1. We will be talking about macro models so 1 is a better fit for the course. You would certainly profit from reading both books, but you might not appreciate paying $228 when substantial portions of the books are identical.

The bookstore is ordering 1 for me and has about 10 copies in stock for Froyen's section of 185. My copies should be in stock in a week or 10 days. You can exchange 2 for 1 if you have a sales receipt and do not write in the book.
